Remember when there was no control?
Of course, we mean remote control. Not having one for your TV is something most of you probably don't remember. There weren't many viewing options, no way to record a program to watch later or skip through commercials, and you had to get up from your chair to flip through the three stations available.
It is definitely not like that anymore.
Families in the first half of the 20th century sat in front of the radio for entertainment, creating pictures in their imaginations. Then came television: from no picture at all, to black-and-white, to color, to HD, 4K, 6K, and 8K.
And with all these advances in home entertainment, it seems that more and more people are watching TV on their phones. They may have gigantic, ultra-high-resolution TVs, but if the content is engaging, they'll often watch it on a tiny screen instead.
Ironic for those of us who scramble to keep up with the latest production equipment.
